Our summer has certainly started out with a bang!
I love summer nights. The heat has settled. There is a subtle breeze. The smell of nature. I love it all...minus the mosquitos. This weekend, my parents came down to visit. We hosted my whole family for "Rib Night" on Friday. The food was awesome, but we had a blast just being big kids. We played baseball outside and I can't tell you how much fun we had! Jamie was our number 1 pitcher and Papa Asa was our catcher. Good times!

Ribs! It doesn't get much more summer than ribs. And these were good! It's nice to get your hands dirty every once in a while.

The next day, us girls took the kiddos to the park where the we enjoyed a nice lunch and played in the water. What a great thing to do with little ones...no need to worry about pools! Yes, moms...that means we can relax and actually enjoy ourselves.
Happy girl.
No one had fun than Belle herself! I have never seen her this happy and it was a special thing.
We will definitely be going here all summer long.
And with an occasional high five, she was off!
What better way to end a day in the hot, summer sun than going for an ice cold treat afterwards!

We were like kids in a candy store...literally:)
What a perfect day. That evening, we grilled and had company over. The kids pooped out early:)
Summer has been treating us great so far. Now we are counting down the days until we leave for Florida...
