This Saturday, Jamie took me and Gray for a drive. It was a beautiful day and we had nothing better to do. So we headed south toward Holly Beach. It's about a 45 minute drive and a beautiful one. I hadn't been since the hurricane several years ago that completely wiped out the area. Every house or building is now lifted at least 10 feet in the air on wooden posts because of the storm surge. It was pretty crazy to see. I even had to giggle a little when I saw trailers up on posts. But that's the way of life there. It's like a whole other world and it's just a drive away. Jamie wants to take me fishing out there within the next few weeks. They have a guide who takes you out and you catch lots of fish! Sounds like fun, doesn't it?
I didn't have my nice big camera, but I did manage to get some good shots with my little one that lives in my purse.
This is what the drive looks like the entire way. Life is very simple out here.

We even picked a few shells along the way.
All good things must come to an end. I can't wait to do it again.
