The cat is out of the bag!

We are finally announcing to the world that we are expecting another baby and we are beyond thrilled about it!  We kept it a secret for a while so we could surprise our family and friends.  Let me tell you, this was not an easy thing to do, although it was worth the wait to see how surprised and excited everyone was.  More on the big announcement later.

We feel completely blessed and so excited about the new baby.  We both want a large family.  The more, the merrier.  So, here we are expanding our family.  There are so many emotions when you find out you are pregnant.  Of course, there's happiness and excitement, but then the maternal instincts automatically set in.  You worry about this little, tiny, minute miracle that God has blessed you with and all you want to do is protect it with all your being.  It is a very scary thing to bring a human into this world.  This world is full of imperfections, bad people, diseases, and all sorts of things you have to worry about as a parent.  Having lost our first baby at only 6 weeks old, we are all too familiar with that feeling and it is hard not to think about it.  God had a plan for us and out of a horrible, horrible situation, he gave us a bright and shining little star named Grayson.

Grayson has changed my life and I love him like nothing else in the world.  I am so fortunate to have such a child and to be blessed to have another is a wonderful feeling.  I can't wait to see him with his younger brother/sister.  I can't wait to see the love between them.  I can't wait to see them play together, and fight with each other, and dance together.

Thank you to all of you for being there and inspiring me as a mother.  I'm sorry for the roller coaster-of-emotions-post.  Perhaps it's all the pregnancy hormones!  Anyway, I'm so happy to be able to document this pregnancy through my blog.  You will see the good, the bad, and the ugly!  Pregnancy certainly has its ups and downs, but for the most part it's a beautiful, beautiful thing.  And if you have an awesome and supportive husband {like mine}, you will get lots of foot rubs, and trips to the store late at night for 4 different types of sour candy {yes, this actually happened the other night}, and lots more pampering out of the deal.  But the biggest gift of all, is the precious little baby you get to meet at the end of it all.

Life is good.
