Summer Bucket List

Today is the last day of May, which means that it's almost June!  And even though summer doesn't officially start until the 20th, it is sure in full swing around here.  There's just something about summer that makes me want to get stuff done!  Every summer, I make a list of things that I would like to accomplish.  Most of the time, I get them done.  But there are a few things that linger from year, to year, to year.  Please tell me I am not the only one:)

This year, I am aiming high to get all of these things done before summer is over.  After all, Fall is always so busy for everyone.  Then before you know it, it's Christmas and that means there is no time to think about anything but the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

That being said, it's time to get started!

Summer Bucket List
2012:
go camping {like real outdoorsy camping}
finish the playroom
make homemade ice cream
have a fort night with the boys
visit a museum
check out books from the library
picnics {Gray calls them picnic parties:)}
have a lemonade stand
donate toys to needy children
take a trip to a zoo
get carpets cleaned
 get Gray swim lessons
revamp the half bathroom {details to come}
annual family portraits on the beach
read 3 books {more on that later}
clean out the garage {this is the one that keeps lingering...}
play dates {check!}
start and complete a DIY project
pick vegetables from our garden {check!}
lay by a pool for a whole day {ok, this will never happen with little kids, but I can dream, right?!}
family movie night
help teach VBS with my mother
host a party
chase the ice cream truck

I think this is a great start to my summer bucket list.  Speaking of buckets...

Looks like someone else is ready for summer!  Ever seen so much cuteness in a bucket?!

What are you hoping to get done this summer!  Here's to a happy, productive summer!

  1. I don't make a bucket list, but over half of those would be on mine, too! Sounds like your summer is filling up, you better get started :)

  2. I'm working on my summer to-do list as well! I have several that linger from year to year as well...so you are not alone! We need to get the girls together over the summer for a playdate!
