Louisiana Saturday Night

This Saturday, we made a trip to Jamie's parents' house for dinner.  Jamie has 5 brother's and sisters...a total of 6!  That's a lot of siblings...equals a lot of grandchildren!  Vickie, one of Jamie's sisters, came in to visit with her beautiful family.  She has 5 children of her own.  They are all so sweet, mature, and very intelligent.  We don't get to see them very often, so it was a very nice evening full of family, food, and laughter.

As always, Jamie's father makes the best dishes.  This time he served up a huge pot of crawfish etoufee.  Let me just tell you, he never dissapoints!  I had 2 big ole' bowls and probably could have eaten more, but I decided to save a little room for dessert.  Gloria always makes the best desserts and forces you to eat them!  No, just kidding...she doesn't have to force anyone!

This is Mickey.  He used to be Jamie's dog, then his parents adopted him.  He's the biggest and sweetest dog.  Grayson sure loves him and his long, slimey tongue kisses.

Jamie's dad walked us out to their garden.  How beautiful is this?  I wish we had room to build one.  But for now, we will just pick their vegetables.

New Potatoes

These were ours to take home.  Can you guess what we had for dinner last night?

Father and son

They even grow fresh green beans.  These are so very good.

Ronald and Gloria still so in love after all these years.  Aren't they too cute?!

The little dog is Missy, Ronald and Gloria's newest addition.  She sleeps like this on top of Mickey.

Our family photo minus Grayson {because he was sleeping} and Gloria because she was kind enough to take it.

Thank you Ronald and Gloria for a lovely evening.  Can't wait to do it again, but not too soon because I'll gain a million pounds from eating your wonderful food!
