Catching up

Welcome 2011!  You have certainly been eventful already.  While I finally recouped from the holidays, my baby came down with a stomach virus for 2 days.  Poor baby.  That was his first taste of a stomach virus and it was yucky yucky {as Gray would say}.  Of course, just as he started feeling better, I came down with it myself.  Eight and a half months pregnant plus a virus equals no. fun. at. all.

Although I don't like seeing Christmas pass, I love to put things away, organize, clean, and get ready for a fresh start to a new year.  I don't really have any resolutions.  I'm not really the resolution type.  As I have always said, they never seem to get done.  There are some things I would like to change, however, but not for the year...for good.  I need to prioritize what is really important in my life, but mostly, the important people in my life.  And that's all I have to say about that {in a Forest Gump voice}.

I do hope all of you had a blessed holiday.  I have enjoyed catching up on your blogs, and finding some new favorite blogs in the mean time.  Now, moving forward!  It's 2011. Wow.  Baby Sloan will be here in just a matter of weeks.  We have been prepping and working on her near arrival.  All of the furnishings for her nursery have arrived and look wonderful in her room, with the exception of a "white" shag rug that turned out to be butter yellow.  No lie.  Note to self: never order a "white" rug online.  Ever.  Now I get to return a 9x12 rug through the mail.  Joy.

In addition to the nursery, I will also be sharing an update of our bedroom.  The rest of our furniture finally came in just in time for the new year.  We also got Apple TV, which means that we have been spending lots of time enjoying our bedroom and watching too many movies.  Seriously, Apple TV is the greatest.  You can rent movies straight to your TV, which, if you have a toddler, is pretty much genius.  No leaving the house to rent movies, chasing your tot around the rental store, or worrying about late fees.  Oh the little things that make your life easier.

Well, that's about it for now.  Just wanted to check in, catch up, and say hello.  I'll leave you with a little sneak peak of our bedroom.
