Mother's Day Gifts

Warning...this could be a long post.  Mainly because I love the fact that we have a special day to celebrate mothers.  It's also super fun to find the perfect gift for that special mother in your life.  Not to mention, I may or may not tell my husband to pay close attention to this post...ah hem:)

It is such a privilege to be a mother.  The best job in the world, in fact.  At least in my opinion.  And more importantly, it's a time to show my own mother how much I appreciate her.  After all, my own kids wouldn't be here if it weren't for her, and she does so much for not only me, but my family as well.

So, let's get started!

I just LOVE these mint julep glasses from Zhush.  They serve not only as drinking glasses, but look so pretty as vases, too.  Maybe it's a southern thing, but I sure want these!

If you haven't heard of Amy Atlas or her new book, you've been living under a rock.  Enough said.  

I, for one, am a huge fan of throw blankets.  I have a ton of them.  Loving the greek key pattern on these throws by Jonathan Adler.  

To say that I would be really happy to get a new Tory Burch tote would be an understatement!  This one would be a perfect tote bag for summer.  On my wish list for sure!

Candles might possibly be my favorite thing on this planet.  I burn them until they go out, which means I go through a lot of them.  Right now, I am loving these candles by Lafco.  They are unique in that they have a special scent for each room in your house!  It would be impossible to chose my favorite because they all smell divine.  They may be a little pricey for a candle at around $50 a pop, but they sure are worth it and she won't be disappointed!

What woman doesn't love something personalized?  I know I do!  As Reese Witherspoon said, "If it's not moving--monogram it!"  As a southern girl myself, I totally agree!

I really, really, really want one of these initial cuffs!  They come in so many colors and are perfect for stacking with other bracelets.  How fun would it be to have the initials of each of your child? {hint, hint} 

I just love my iPhone case from Libbie and Winston.  I get tons of complements on it.  You've probably seen them all over by now.  They are stylish and protect your phone.  Pick from many colors and patterns to give it that personal touch!

And why not have the matching necklace to go with your phone case?  Monogrammed necklaces are all the rage right now.  This one is a little different because it's a more modern take on the traditional monogram necklace, and it comes in many bright and bold colors.  Check out for Moon and Lola for this necklace and much more!  Their prices are great, too.

You only have a little over a week, so get to shopping!  The truth is, anything you get that special mother, she will appreciate because the true gift is just that...being a mother.  So, while all these might make wonderful gifts, you can also put a little labor of love into gift-giving.  I especially love homemade gifts or ones with personal photos.  And they make great keepsakes!
