Friday Favorite!

I've seen some really cute holiday dessert tables and party ideas lately.  Too cute not to share.  Please forgive me if you've seen these already.

How fun to plan a birthday party, children's Christmas party, or any party around the holidays!  I wish I had a reason to celebrate and plan another party right now because these ideas are just too cute!

This new collection from Tomkat is so sweet, and the colors are so girly and pretty.

This oh so festive "Christmas Candyland" theme party is Christmas heaven!

Another favorite from Tomkat!  I'm sure you've seen it by now, but the "Vintage Rudolph" collection is one my faves.  She mixed some classics with modern touches...perfection.  I just love the red and green with accents of black.

The Party Dress came up with this spectacular table.  Loving the very retro colors!

This is the sweetest party yet!  I just love the different shades of pink and the touch of the feather trees.  This one is definitely fit for a princess.

This pretty in pink gingerbread house would be such a sweet addition to a girly Christmas party.
Thanks Kim for this adorable house.  I want a life-size one!
Pinkalicious!

The Birthday Girl featured this "Snowman Shindig" today, and it couldn't be cuter!  Perfect for a boy or girl.

'Tis the season!  It certainly is the most wonderful time of the year.  One of my absolute favorite things about the holidays is getting Christmas cards in the mail.  I got my first one of the season yesterday, and, as always, it brightened my day.  Keep em' coming!

Have a wonderful weekend.  We're off to do some Christmas shopping and take pictures with Santa!  Be back next week with more gift ideas.

Holiday Gift Guide 2010: For the Hostess

This gift guide was so much fun to put together.  I love giving hostess gifts just as much as I love getting them.  They are very personal and special, and you don't have to spend a lot to find a unique hostess gift.  Here are a few gift ideas that will sure to impress any hostess.

These cupcake pedestals are ridiculously cute.

Pick from an array of colors and patterns to make it unique, fun, and personal.

I just love these handwritten stamps.  Yes, it's a stamp!  This one is on my list for sure.

My all-time favorite candle is the Capri Blue candle.  All of the fragrances smell divine.  You can't go wrong with any of them.  This candle makes me happy and I can promise you any hostess would be pleased to receive one.

Say Merry Christmas with Sprinkles cupcakes.  Pretty and delish.  Order yours here.

What hostess doesn't need an apron?  How about a darling, retro, I Love Lucy apron
Yes, please!

These personalized coasters make a great hostess gift.

How fun are these monogrammed soaps from Pottery Barn?

Or this slate cheese board from Uncommon Goods...

Marye-Kellye offers a variety of picture frames, waste baskets, tissue box covers, and much more.  You can choose from many patterns, and have them personalized.  This mail holder makes a good gift for just about anyone on your list.

The countdown to Christmas has begun.  Only 24 days left!  Oh the hustle and bustle!  It's definitely feeling a lot like Christmas.  We built our first fire of the season last night.  Coziness.  I have also come to learn every. single. word. to The Grinch movie.  It's Grayson's favorite movie right now, and he has to watch it about 10 times in one day.  No exaggeration.  Oh well, at least it's a darling Christmas movie.
Happy Wednesday!

Thanksgiving Table Setting

Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  I love everything about Thanksgiving...except the decorating!  Do you decorate for Thanksgiving?  I usually skip straight to Christmas after Halloween.  After all, Christmas decorations do not stay up long enough in my opinion!

But really...Thanksgiving is my least favorite holiday to decorate for.  I'm just not crazy about the colors, and it happens to fall right between my two favorite holidays.  Thanksgiving {decor, that is} gets the shaft in my house!

Since we are having Thanksgiving dinner with Jamie's side of the family this year {super exciting}, we will not be celebrating at our house.  However, I did spot this beautiful Thanksgiving table setting at The Party Dress that would be lovely on any table.
What a great idea to paint your pumpkins metallic colors.  You know I love a little bling!  Very modern and chic.

And let's not forget dessert!  Take a look at these Thanksgiving desserts.  I'm getting fatter just looking at them!

P.S. Check out Martha Stewart on the Today Show talking about Thanksgiving, of course.  Love me some Martha.

Bling Bling!

The jewelry party was last Tuesday and it turned out to be a lot of fun.  There were only a few of us, but it's always a good time when there is food and friends involved.  My friend Kristin just recently got into selling Premier jewelry and asked me to host a party for her.  I had a great time preparing for the party.  We had a lot of fun eating and trying on all the jewelry.  I look forward to hosting many more jewelry parties!

Kristin's darling little girl had so much fun trying on the jewelry with the big girls.

We played the game where you have to dig through your purse and find an item starting with a certain letter.  No surprise I won since I keep everything in my purse!
